The Twitter and the Weiner

Follow me on Twitter logoImage via Wikipedia
Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive... (Walter Scott)

If he just would of said he did it, or even denied it once and them admitted it, but, to go on a TV show blitz to proclaim his innocence? Then he had to host his own Weiner Roast.

To my friends from Japan: Do you have a Weiner? What do you think is the honorable thing for Representative Weiner to do?

Now about this "character flaw". What does that mean? What I think is that if someone lies about one thing they will lie about another. If his Twitter account was for political purposes and he was using his political standing to solicit exchanges sexual in nature over Twitter then he was using his status as a Representative for personal gain/pleasure. But, we will hear many excuses from liberals about why Rep. Anthony Weiner isn't such a bad guy and even though he has bad judgement personally, on company time, he doesn't necessarily have bad judgement politically and his constituents just want him to get back to Twitter, I mean work, and do a good job. He will get re-elected because we are dealing with the east coast version of Maxine Waters. Neither of there voting base cares about the morals of their leadership just as long as the checks come twice a month.

Playing With Other People's Money

Play MoneyImage by mandiberg via Flickr
The funny thing about other people's money or money you didn't earn is that for most people it's like play money or funny money. Unfortunately, for may many politicians, playing with our hard earned taxes is just playing with funny money. If they run out many politicians think they'll just print more, tax more, or borrow more.

I commend the Republicans for rejecting the proposal to raise the debt limit. The only problem is that Republican leader Eric Cantor said, "there is no support in the People’s House for a debt limit increase without real spending cuts and binding budget process reforms." So, does that mean Eric Cantor and many Republicans would agree to raise the debt ceiling if certain conditions are met? This is what frightens me about politicians, they say things but do another. They say what people want to hear but play with money like it will never run out. Some people want to hear that the debt ceiling will not rise because they know debt is debt. Other people just want to hear that certain programs will be funded and how it happens matters not. Eric just  pandered to both. He is saying no more debt but leaving room for it if certain "real" cuts happen.

My message to all politicians: NO DEBT. REDUCE THE BONDAGE OF DEBT!

Welcome to Obama's Blame Game 2010

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama campaigns in Onawa, Iow...Image via Wikipedia
It's amazing. I turn on the news and there is the President of the Untied States of America blaming George W. Bush for all the problems he inherited and that the evil Republicans are the real problem not his failing policies.

Mr. President, man up and shut up. Is it George W. Bush's fault that the money you gave banks was used by the banks to try to wait out the home mortgage  crisis? No, the President was clearly out of his league when he tried to understand and manipulate the mortgage industry. No real sense of history and no understanding of how the market actually works. The POTUS only thinks naively that he can control the home sales and mortgage industry via his policies.

Next question; is it George W. Bush's fault and the minority of Republicans in both houses fault that the health care bill YOU crammed through to passage without being read (breaking your own campaign promise), is it their fault that it is already beginning to cripple middle class and lower income, basically every working and non-working American financially? No. By the way, my HMO out of pocket cost already doubled this year, from $10.00 co-pay to $20.00 co-pay per visit. My pharmacy cost went from $5.00 to $10.00 and up. Not to mention the $50..00 to $100.00 emergency room visit hike. And my insurance plan is a good one!

Now, this isn't even mentioning the ghastly team of regulators and the "job" they are doing on Americans without a whisper from the propaganda wing of the left, AKA local news.  Lurita Doan describes one example,
Just last week, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued partial guidance to increase ethanolcontent in gasoline to 15% , even though ethanol’s supposed benefits have been solidly debunked.Studies by the EPA have shown that ethanol increases carbon emissions, drives up costs of corn and food products, hinders engine efficiency, and does little to make our nation more energy independent.
In short, the EPA’s ethanol policy is a ploy, designed to prop up a failed industry, with yet another multi-billion dollar bailout from taxpayers.
What really bothers me about the blame game and lack of integrity, besides the obvious childish pointing of the finger at GW Bush and the Republicans, is the familiarity of the use of a scape-goat. Think about it. What dynamic speaker blamed a group of people and worked up his audiences into a frothing frenzy of blame and hate? Ya. I don't hear alot of HOPE, just blame. Time for the POTUS and his crew to be voted out in mass.

Why Kagan Worries Me

Supreme Court nominees are subject to a healthy portion of scrutiny and well they should be. The Supreme Court decides on the toughest most important cases in the country. They are the final legal word. The trust we as American citizen put in them is almost sacred. Because I believe in the ideals of the United States of America and the principles that our founding fathers set forth to govern this great country I am greatly concerned by the appointment of any Supreme Court nominee.

I am deeply concerned by the nomination of Elena Kagan for Supreme Court Justice by President Obama. Here are four reasons why:

#1. She is an Obama appointee. His choices have not been good so far and his approval rating illustrates his disconnect with the rest of the country.

#2. She is a liberal and not just an average liberal but a liberal from the ivory towers of academia.

#3. The Obama administration is carefully showing the public only what they want the public to see about Elena Kagan’s history of thought which would give us a better understanding of what her liberal ideals look like politically. Y.ou only hide what you don't want seen.

#4. What’s behind the curtain? Senator Tom Daschle advised then Senator Obama to run for president in 2008 because if he (Obama) waited until 2012 his record of voting would be too well documented. That is deception, that is dishonest. Now, President Obama is doing the same thing with information about Elena Kagan. What don’t they want the American public to know about Elena Kagan?

That’s what I say, what do you say?
