Message to all Mexicans and Latinos: You are Republican, vote Republican

Every Mexican and Central American I have ever known is at heart a Republican until some Democrat tells them they are a Democrat.

What do Republicans believe in that all immigrants believe in? The Republican ideals of working hard and keeping most of your own money to choose to use as you decide and family values are intimately woven into the beliefs of Mexican and Latino immigrants.  For example, many Latinos are, at least, cultural Catholics and the Catholic Church’s stand against abortion is not a pillar of the Democrats but of the Republicans.

Listen, Republicans say, “Come, work hard, and create a better life for you and your family. Choose for yourself how to provide for your family. Choose for yourself how to run your family.

So, I suggest you stop listening to people who actually do not believe you are smart enough to understand the issues, so they use school-yard tactics, “Those Republicans hate Mexicans! They are keeping you down!” to control you. You can understand the issues. You know what is best for you and your families. You deserve to keep the majority of your paycheck to decide to use as you see fit. Vote Republican, it’s your choice, your money, and your family.

That’s what I say, what do you say?

Spy vs. Spineless

Well, what do you know? Apparently the Russians still think we have something up our sleeves. I hope we do. I hope we have a few extra special, extra secret, extra deadly things to protect us as a country and ideal.

On the other hand if I was a Russian I’d just go ask President Obama to, in the name and spirit of cooperation and global unity, tell me if the USA has any secret defense plan or weapons that might wipe them out. He’d probably just tell me, to just prove that America, as a nation is not out to hurt anyone. Maybe that would make other nations like us and not fear us.

Spies, wow, the cold war is dead but there must be some post cold war war going on. What are the Russians hoping to find? It can’t be Obama’s super secret Afghanistan plan. It can’t be Obama’s stimulusless plan. It can’t be Obama’s anti-partisan politics plan. Maybe it’s Obama’s ram a health care down the people’s throats plan.

Just maybe it’s the how to get elected on hope but produce hopelessness plan! I don’t think so.

The only thing more alarming to me than actual Russian spies is that we, as a nation, have something that the Russian’s want and Obombus is at the wheel.

That’s what I say, what do you say?

The Supreme Court Dog and Pony Confirmation Hearing/Show

The dog and pony show known as the Supreme Court nomination hearings continues. Does anyone really believe that all Dems won't vote her through? Seriously?

Senator Arlen Specter (Democrat – Pennsylvania) seemed to have a serious concern with Supreme Court justices disrespecting Senatorial legislation. The senator asked Elena Kagan several times if she thought the Supreme Court justices had disrespected the fact finding and work of the Senators. Kagan dodged the question time and time again and Senator Specter said he would have to move on since he was not making in headway. Will he not confirm her? Did anything he asked her have any bearing on whether he would vote to confirm her or not? Nothing Senator Specter said indicated that anything he asked would bear any consequence on if he voted to confirm Kagan or not. Bla, bla, bla.

Senator Feinstein (Democrat – California)threw batting practice. First Feinstein feigned toughness by asking a question about guns. Then she focused on green issues. She is as out of focus as her hairstyle is out of date.

Senator Lindsey Graham (Republican – South Carolina) asked Kagan if she was a progressive. She said yes. Graham than spoke about Miguel Estrada, a Bush nominee, who was rejected by the largely Democratic congress, and how Estrada wrote a glowing letter of recommendation for Kagan. Graham asked her to write a letter for Estrada. Kagan said she would. This, to me, was the only significant exchange that I saw before I fell asleep. What Graham did was simultaneously slam the Dems for ruthlessly, and spitefully rejecting the confirmation of Miguel Estrada during the Bush era and get Kagan to write a letter of recommendation for Miguel Estrada. It was very nice ways of saying the Democrats are ruthless, spiteful jerks with no conscience. Nice work, Lindsey. Graham also asked about Kagan's opinion on Miranda rights in a war, if Kagan thought enemy combatants should receive them. She said no. Graham thought many would be surprised with her views.

Well, the dog and pony show goes on. The only thing I see is that the Republicans are less partisan than the Democrats and the Democrats say a lot that means little.

That’s the way I see it, how do you see it?

G-20 Summit of bla…blaa..let’s tax more!

What is the G-20? Why does the world need a G-20? Who were those party crashers dressed in black?

All question I can’t seem to find a decent answer for.

According to the official (?) site, www.g20.org,” The Group of Twenty (G-20) Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors was established in 1999 to bring together systemically important industrialized and developing economies to discuss key issues in the global economy.”

President Obama warned that too much austerity too quickly could choke off global recovery. (Is the President saying the countries recovery might happen to quickly? If he is, I beg to differ.)The German Chancellor Angela Merkel advocates “spending cuts and even tax increases.” (Less services and less money for me the tax payer.)

Aren’t most of these people the ones who either led us into the abyss or took over the reigns and haven’t changed the course for the better?

All I hear is bla..blaa…let’s tax more.

No thank you.

What’s Important to Me and to You

I was thinking about the blog. What do I really enjoy talking about? Somebody said that you should never talk about politics or religion because it would just lead to an argument. My response, “What’s left to talk about?” I mean what influences your life and what is your reaction to life?

To me politics influence all our lives because the policies and laws we live under set boundaries, to some degree, on the quality of life we can live. If I make $50k per year and my taxes are at 30% that means I have $35k to live on. Now when one political party (I won’t say their name but their initials are the Democrats) uses terms like, “the redistribution of wealth,” when referring to usage of my tax dollars I wonder why I need to have my “wealth” redistributed. So, how much I pay for taxes is an important issue to me.

Lately, my freedom of speech has become an even greater concern because of certain “fairness” laws having to do with “equal” air time for liberals and conservatives. In the free-market place of radio and TV I am not sure I see much equality. I think AM radio has become a great outlet for conservative thought and opinion, much to the chagrin of liberals. I think it just chaps liberals hides that the American public would much rather listen to conservative ideals than liberal dogma.

Now, for religion; I just love talking about religion but just haven’t been able to work it into my blog enough. To me a persons faith, whether in the existence of a god or not, determines the values that one has. For example, I believe that we were all (even people who annoy me) created in the image of God, the God of Judeo-Christian belief. I believe that the mannishness of man (see Francis Schaeffer) which is our capacity for both good and evil is best explained by the Bible. Now, you may think I am a kook and an ignorant uneducated zealot for believing that, but I have yet to hear a decent explanation for mankind’s personality. I know a few claim that evolution has produced these traits in us to help us survive, but that takes a bit more faith, without reason, than I can muster up.

That is what is important to me, what is important to you?
