Flush "em Friday: The 3 25 11 Edition

Happy Friday Anyone! I thought Friday my never come. But, here we are and it's time to Flush 'em Friday!

I flush:
Jerry Brown AND his crew for doing the liberal thing, seeking revenue by raising taxes. More people say no and yet he seeks to find "alternate" ways to raise taxes. That said, I of course must flush any Californian foolish enough to have voted for him in the first place.

Management that never asks the people who actually implement the plan and get it done if the plan is working. But, they often react to perceived problems and end up messing around with a symptom rather than the actual problem.

Politicians  who ask for more money.

Educational leadership or still trying to find a fad that works and never staying with it long enough to allow teachers master it.

Parents who believe their child can never do wrong.

Parents who make excuses for their children's behavior.

Their is my short list. OK, folks, tell me who YOU want to flush this Friday.

No Tax Tuesday: The Internet? 3 22 11

NO (no) TAXImage by jasoneppink via Flickr
Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that anything Al Gore claims to have invented the liberals would want to tax the life out of it. Do the words repressive and progressive go together in the minds of liberals? (Yes.) Does the government need more money? (No.)

Now I know that politicians are feverishly seeking ways to generate more tax revenue rather than do the real hard work and cut the fat of their pork projects and entitlement programs. So, rather than seek the betterment of the citizens they claim to represent they are in the words of one former Democratic candidate for President, "I'm going to tax the hell out of these people." Again, who gains? Not me.

I call on citizens in all 50 states to tell their Senators and Representatives to find ways to ease the tax burden, not add to it. Any tax on anything can not be tolerated! Well, maybe a tax levied on any politician who votes to increase taxes!

Are we in or not, Mr. President?

Protesters throwing rocks after eviction of si...Image via Wikipedia
One thing I have noticed about the President is his thoughtful lack of decision making process. I can respect that the President wants to get all the facts before he makes a decision. I get that sometimes waiting until the last possible moment before acting is one way of leading. But, the actions made after getting all the intel often seems...halfhearted. It reminds me of the two different approaches to getting into to a cold ocean, lake or stream. Either you piddle around and wade in hoping to get used to the cold or you just jump in.

As President Obama takes us into the theater of war in the middle east by wading into the waters by ordering the firing of a few missiles I am greatly concerned. Of course I can count on my local network news agencies to sort of gloss over the whole are we going to war with Gadhafi thing. Not a lot of thought provoking journalism. So, I am not quite sure what the POTUS is doing, and it doesn't look like he does either.

I remember when a certain other president went to knock off a crazy madman of a leader named Hussein. He went in decisively, kicked some butt, chased him into a little whole in the ground and then pulled the vermin out by the scruff of his neck. That's how you take down a bully. Gadhafi is nothing but a bully on a global scale. President Obama needs to decide if he wants Gadhafi in or out. If he wants him out. Tell Gadhafi he has until yesterday to get out and then go get the madman. I suggest a general warning to all of Libya that we are going to blow his asterisk off the face of this earth. So, move away from him. It looks like Obama's method is to throw a few rocks, hide behind a fence and offer a stern verbal warning.
