No Tax Tuesday: Why Pay More for Less? 4 19 11 Edition

Happy No Tax Tuesday the 4 19 11 Edition! Today I ask the question why pay more for less?

Why should I pay more taxes and have less to live on? Why does my government need more money to do less with? Why does any Senator or Representative sent to Washington on my behalf even entertain the idea that I, the ordinary working citizen can afford to live on less?

The idea of higher taxes means I need to make more money to maintain the same standard of living I currently exist on. Anyone who believes that I should live on less, for any reason is an arrogant dictator want-to-be. Not to mention just a jerk. Who is anyone to dictate by law the forceful removal the fruit of another persons' labor? And for what? What is our government doing with this money?

Why should I pay more taxes and have less to live on? Why does my government need more money to do less with? Why does any Senator or Representative sent to Washington on my behalf even entertain the idea that I, the ordinary working citizen can afford to live on less? Traffic is a nightmare, potholes are now visible from space and some are receiving names! Education is held captive to the federal government elitist who do nothing but offer races to the toilet.

Back to my original question. If the government wants me to have a lower standard of living they should offer a pretty amazing reason or return for said "investment". I'm waiting....

What happened to President Obama's great leadership on gasoline prices? During the election he boasted that if he became President he'd have the prices below $3.00 a gallon, even around $2.00 per gallon. I guess he meant "$2.00 X 2". Where is the totally non-bias media on this issue? Hypocritical worthless puppets of the left.

So, I urge all voters to vote no to any raise in taxes or fees because why should we live on less while the government morphs into an even larger parasite.

No Tax Tuesday: Where have all the tax dollars gone? 3 8 11

Happy No Tax Tuesday. Today I ask the question: Where have all the tax dollars gone?

In California, Jerry Brown is weaseling his way around setting up his only known means of financial management. He WILL ask Californians to pay more taxes. My question is for what? To pay for a bloated government that can't even complete a budget on time when their lives depend upon it? Gracious, pero no.

Tonight I will make my annual trip to my tax man. He is actually awesome. It just reminds me that I send money to Washington who packages it ( for a cost) and send some of it back to my state which sends some of it back to my city. Less for more.

Gas prices are skyrocketing. Nearly half the cost of a gallon of gas is taxes. Well, straight out of my driveway and all the way to work I will negotiate pot holes the size of some of those tiny little Match Box cars some clowns are driving. (If you own one, nothing personal, just making a goofy point.)  Where is the money for road work going?

What about education? I am one of a few teachers who are conservative politically. Even the most liberal of my colleagues complains about the waste and pet projects. Our school has a "district pool teacher". Do we need one? No.

No Tax Tuesday question of the day: Where have all the tax dollars gone?

No Tax Tuesday: No More Needed 3 2 11

Welcome to another round of "No Tax Tuesday." Today I wonder why California's elected officials, such as our (I am embarrassed to say that) Governor, approach the state budget the way they do. Rather than start from what the state has, also know as actual, real revenue in the form of taxes and fees, our state legislature and governor start from what they want to spend. Then they tax the life out of the serfs also known as citizens, you and me.

In real life if I want a brand new Porsche but I do not have the money to purchase said Porsche, for which there is no substitute, I can not have it. It does not matter how much I need it or deserve it or am entitled to it. Not enough money, no Porsche. My government, on the other hand, still goes out and buys the Porsche. When the bill is due and there is not enough money to pay for the Porsche what does my government do? They ask me and you to pay for it.

Governor Jerry Brown is gearing up to ask Californian's to pay more, and pay more. California does not need to raise more tax revenue. California needs to live within its' means, start the budget process from what we have and decide what can be afforded. No more taxes are needed.
