I have to do this. I can't take it. It's Flush 'em Friday and I must flush this....

Bernie Sanders and his socialist ideals.

Anyone who says they will tax the rich to help the "poor" is a liar. The middle class, the working class always pays the price.

Anyone who thinks you can tax businesses more and more with out cutting jobs and benefits is just a simple minded child. 

Anyone who thinks socialism is good is either naive or a power hungry dictator want-a-be. 

Any so called journalist who hides the truth about the atrocities of socialist states should be flushed too. They are not journalist, they are propagandists. 

Come on America, it's time to Flush Bernie and socialism right down the drain.

How does less choice equal more freedom?

One of the good things about living where I live is the choice to eat where I want to and pretty much (budget allowing) what I want.  There are quite a few choices available in the south bay and I like that. I like to be able to choose a big fat burger and fries or a little thin piece of ingredients and a bun with fruit if I so choose.

Now, I have a friend who thinks that Coke is the best cola and can not understand why anyone would drink Pepsi. I happen to prefer Pepsi. For all the reasons she likes coke, I don't like Coke. For all the reasons she does not like Pepsi, I do. So, they order Coke, I order Pepsi. It is a little but significant freedom that we enjoy here in these United States of America, called choice. Freedom to choose Pepsi or coke, a wonderful whole beef burger or a skimpy little piece of vegetables compressed into the shape of a burger and seasoned to cover the taste of the ingredients. Choice. 

As a parent I like to be able to teach my children responsibility and offer them the opportunity to make a choice as a reward. The choice may be as simple as choosing what color of clothing or maybe fries or apples with there Happy Meal. Call it responsible freedom.

What I find very disturbing is when the government gets involved in my choices of anything. So, when I find that the government is "choosing" apples for my child's Happy Meals or taking the toy out of kids meals I am more than disturbed, I am angry.

The question is this: How is the loss of choice equal to a gain in freedom? Quite simply, it is not. Who is it that thinks they know better than every parent? Who is it that believes I, as a parent, and you as a parent, are not fit or able to make a good choice for ourselves or our children? Your basic liberal, that is who.

I say that this nonsense must stop!

Happy Fourth of July to you one and all! Thanks to the men and women who are serving our great country as we spend this day in celebration. May God protect them and bring them home safely. 

I would like to give a little shout out to two people. One is a new follower on Twitter names R C from Brazil who became a US Citizen. Thanks for the follow and thanks for being a part of this great country. I would also like to mention my old friend Mauricio from El Salvador. He came her as a teenager from a country in turmoil. His older brother literally gave his life to get him out of the country. Mauricio worked and supported himself while in High School. He became a US Citizen, graduated form USC and is now enjoying life here in the USA. 

My family comes from England, Wales, Italy and Spain, some via Cuba. What is great is that they all came for freedom and a better life. May Bless you and this country with freedom.

Fiorina's Opportunity vs Boxer Dependence

One of the great ideals our country holds dear is independence. We broke free from England . The American dream of succeeding on your own terms, live and let live, own your own home. I think that this ideal of independence is at the heart of much of the political debate and voting choices offered this year. 

I woke up this morning and read that "Fiorina says she wants others to be able to rise to success." That got me to thinking. Opportunity is different than dependence. Opportunity is independence and a government bailout or program is dependence. Independence is freedom, while dependence is servitude. Isn't that what we are being asked to vote on? Do I want a candidate and a government that seeks to free me or make me dependent? 

One candidate, Fiorina, believes that the government makes the American dream too hard for too many  people. The other candidate, Boxer, believes the government needs to do more to "help those people out." Boxer voted for and still believes in the Obama bail out. Fiorina  is against the bailout. 

The Obama bailout that Barbara Boxer still backs helped big business, banks and car makers, not the American people. We, as American tax payers will be enslaved to that debt for the rest of our lives and will pass it on to our children just as the last government ponzi-scheme (Social-Security) has been passed down to us. Is that freedom? Not in my book!

Fiorina understands that California and the United States needs freedom from government shackles, not more.   Let me end with this thought. As compassionate and humanistic as welfare sounds, is it? Do people on welfare stay on welfare or move on to success? I have worked with students and families from LA projects for over 20 years, and the projects are living testaments that the welfare system only serves to keep down those it professes to help.

So, do you want freedom or government dependence? Vote for freedom.  Vote for Carly Fiorina!

Pelosi: Who Can’t Cope?

Apparently Nancy Pelosi is surprised that people do not agree with her version of the truth and she believes that people who disagree with her are unable to cope with said “information.”

“Hello….hello…earth to Nancy…Come in Nancy.” Some people disagree with you because logic leads them to a completely different point of view. Your policies threaten the very freedoms my ancestors came to America for. For example, the right to run and live their lives without government interference or intervention.

Yes, people get angry. The Bible actually says to be angry and sin not. Do not be surprised by people’s anger. Doesn’t injustice anger you? Or are you just unable to cope? Please do not insult me by framing my disagreement with you as an inability to cope.

Lastly, do not be surprised that when you sided with a group of people under the guise of freedom by any means necessary (which I actually don’t have a quarrel with), if another group will rise up and seek or defend their freedom by any means necessary also.
