Melissa Harris-Perry Must be Flushed on Flush 'em Friday 4 12 13

Happy Flush 'em Friday! Today is an easy choice for me.

I must flush:

  • Melissa Harris-Perry - she needs a collective flush for even hinting at the idea that children should belong to the state! Just that she uses such blatant socialist language should set off alarms like a fat kid ordering an extra large slurpee in New York.
  • The University of Tulane - that they propagate and allow this stupidity to be taught warrants the removal of their accreditation. This is precisely what is wrong with the entire academic community.
  • MSNBC - for having such a leftist, anti-American anchor. When the media has become nothing more than the propaganda arm of the socialist party (I can't even called them Democrats anymore!), you of course will end up with hypocritical propagandists speaking lies as if they were truth.
America needs to flush these people out!

THE STATE CAN HAVE MY CHILDREN OVER MY DEAD BODY

OK, so I read something from MSNBC anchor Melissa Harris-Perry said,
"We have never invested as much in public education as we should have because we’ve always had kind of a private notion of children.  Your kid is yours and totally your responsibility.  We haven’t had a very collective notion of these are our children.  So part of it is we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families and recognize that kids belong to whole communities."
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I guess she's a professor at Tulane University. One more place my kids won't be attending. I would like to ask the so-called professor where she gets this notion of the collective and that kids belong to the state. Where does she get this "we" she speaks with? Who is this "we" she speaks as? And by what authority does she think "we" have to claim ownership of children, my children?

This is exactly why we need to create some Universities that aren't run by socialists. Are they totally clueless about the history that they love to play revisionist with? What good did it do to allow Hitler and the Nazi's to create their little Aryan nation? How about the USSR and their perfect little society? Do they not know that these societies have very little to no value for human life?

I teach children every day where parents have given up ownership and responsibility of their children. These children are lost, angry and destructive to themselves and others. They are not well. They need parents who take responsibility for them and are willing to be parents. Reality tells Melissa that she is very wrong. But I am sure her ideology will not allow her to see the truth.

My children belong to the state? Over my dead body.

Reasons to Flush Liberals on Flush 'em Friday the 3 29 13 Edition

Happy Flush 'em Friday!

This week I am listing the best reasons to flush liberals.

Liberals need to be flushed because they believe:

  • taxing the rich (which means anyone who actually works) is the only way to produce revenue.
  • they alone know who should have money and how much.
  • only they can be compassionately rich.
  • all conservatives are greedy.
  • you should marry anyone/gender you want but you can't choose the size of your soft drink.
  • telling people if they should have salt in their food or not is freedom.
  • that choice begins with abortion not with the choice to have sex or not.
  • the Bill Clinton didn't inhale.
Well, that's all for now... unless you have some...

Common Core Standards or Just a Common Con Job?

Common Core standards. Another "gift" from the federal government. As an educator anytime someone out of the classroom comes up with an idea, I get nervous. The further they are away from the actual classroom with real live students the more dangerous the directive. Common Core Standards fits right in with all the other "great ideas" from those who don't know or should know better. Rachel Alexander has written a great peace entitled
"Common Core: What's Hidden Behind the Language".

Conservatives are in an uproar over Common Core, an educational curriculum being forced upon the states by the Obama administration, which is scheduled to be mostly implemented this year in the 46 states that have adopted it. Common Core eliminates local control over K-12 curriculum in math and English, instead imposing a one-size-fits-all, top-down curriculum that will also apply to private schools and homeschoolers.
Superficially, it sounds good. It creates universal standards that supposedly educate all children for college. But along with the universal standards come a myriad of problems, which the administrators of Common Core are disingenuously denying. The American Principles Project released an analysis last year of Common Core, exposing the duplicitous language. Common Core describes itself as “internationally benchmarked,” “robust,” “aligned with college and work expectations,” “rigorous,” and “evidence-based.” None of this is true.

Rachel lays it out pretty well. The more I read about it the worse it sounds. So, give it a read and let me know your opinion.
