Where will our leaders take us?

As 2011 begins I wonder where our countries leadership wishes to take us. The frightening reality is that I do not hear much that would lead me to believe that anything will be much different. The president has already begun the we need to raise the debt limit campaign. The Republicans are calling for cuts.  

My problem is that I have heard all this before, my whole life. Yet, government keeps growing and my net income does not, it gets smaller and weaker. My dollar seems to get me less. The government oozes into more and more of my daily life. Just this year California passed some ridiculous laws. The same group of people who can't buy the appropriate nut for a bolt want to regulate gift toys with Happy Meals. Now they want to control the amount of salt I intake. Just how stupid do lawmakers think you and I, average citizens are? Pretty stupid if they believe you and I need them to make decisions about how much salt should we put on our fries!

I don't have to be a great economist or certified public accountant to know that you can't spend more than you make and that you can't have more debt than you can pay for. I also realize that if I am broke, I can't spend money I don't have. I could borrow some money, but, if I don't have the means to pay for it...

The problem ,as I see it, is that my government sees me (and you) as its' means to pay off debt.

So, maybe it's not about where our leadership wants to take us but, what our government and Representatives believe they are entitled to take from us.

What is an Extreme Conservative to do?

The contempt that the left has for the average American citizen is simply amazing. The belief that the left has that they can determine truth allows them to say anything and call it truth. Calling themselves "Politically Correct" is one example. Who says they are correct? And they have the nerve to proclaim they are moderates. Now, to me this is just astounding. When did Socialism become moderate? When did abortion become moderate? When did  the injustice of allowing  murderers to live while the families of victims are denied any sense of justice become a moderate point of view? When did the complete intolerance for people who believe in the Judeo-Christian world view become a moderate mainstream American stance?

Who says this crap? The mainstream media, also known as the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party. The other culprit is our beloved educational system. Just try being a Conservative in a leftist based society. I do it everyday. Who is teaching our children that Republicans are bigots and hate all people of color. My liberal colleagues are quite dogmatic when it comes to their intolerance of conservatives. A few years ago my daughters fourth grade teacher had the students vote for who they thought should be president. She, without a thought, pontificated about how wonderful a savior Obama would be and how awful George Bush and those Republicans have been. My daughter knew she was a fool and wondered why her teacher should be so brazenly biased.

Is someone, a conservative, an extremist? Isn't that a no brainer. To be conservative means you avoid extremes. Extreme taxation. Extreme government control and centralization. Extreme government regulation and intrusion. But, the left, using the media as their bully pulpit, continually lies and deceives Americans by calling conservatives extremists.

Where was the media when the President took over 1/6 of the economy by enacting a health care bill without the representatives of the American people reading it? Was that a conservative approach? That was extremism.

We are not extremists to call for less taxes and less government regulations.
America, take back the middle!

Brown Vs Whitman Final Debate

I'll admit I am biased toward the right. So, it would be pretty tough for Jerry to convince me to vote for him. He might be able to, if I just took what he said as the complete picture of who he is and didn't consider his past, who he really is. For instance, he says California needs green jobs. Whitman counters with the fact that only 3% of the jobs are green in California and what does Jerry plan to do about the other 97%? Brown just blew by the question and blathered on about Whitman wanting to give "rich" people tax breaks. Again, he didn't say that those same tax breaks would not help Californian's who are not (in his view) "rich." 

I think Whitman has improved as a debater and did very well considering the obviously liberal crowd. I mean, come on, even Wild Bill Clinton recognized Jerry Brown was a self-serving re-invent yourself slouch (takes one to know one sort of thing). Yet the crowd cheered for Brown as he  made emphatic yet harmless points.  That Whitman was able to elicit any kind of positive response from that crowd was actually impressive. I don't think Brown made himself look like any less of an slime-ball in respect to the "whore" comment. 

Browns main objective seems to me to try to convince Californians that now that he is older and married he is no longer a political knucklehead. If your a young voter you won't remember just what a reckless knucklehead he is. He didn't convince me. It doesn't seem like he has to convince your average Democrat. He just has to make sure he casts Whitman in a "rich taking from the poor" light. He will hope that the same people who vote for the likes of Maxine Waters and Barbara Boxer will vote blindly for him also.

The bottom line, over 1,200,000 jobs have been lost in California since 2005 alone under Democratic leadership. Vote the job killing, take your money, turn off your water money mongers out!

Random Thoughts of the Week

Here are a few random thoughts about stuff from the week, enjoy...

Ethics - Rangel admitted he had some "ethical lapses." Waters husband, and therefor her, benefited from the assistance given to One-United Bank. GUILTY.
If these were two Republicans it would be in all over the evening news every day. I am only surprised the the propaganda wing of the Democratic party ran this story before the elections.

CA Legislatures - If they won't vote for cuts, vote them out, because they will just put us in more debt.
If they vote for more taxes, vote them out because working Californians pay more than enough already.

VP Biden - A fool and his mouth are never parted.

Allred - Allred is an ambulance chasing, opportunistic weasel. I will say it again, if this was about the maid, she'd be in court.
It's not about the maid, it's about Brown. What else is brown and sometimes needs to be shoveled?

Nicky - Am I to believe someone who lied about her legality as a citizen, falsified her social security number and more? No.
Am I to believe the greatest known opportunistic lawyer "who can only say" the lie she wants me to believe? Again no.
Who will believe Diaz and Allred? The same people who believed that Wild Bill Clinton didn't inhale and struggle with the meaning of "is."

1. Sounds like mostly temporary jobs.
2. Sounds like mostly government jobs.
3. Sounds like government mismanagement at its' best.
4. Sounds like a waste of tax payer money.

The Politician vs. the Businesswoman

Except for the five years I was in college I have lived in California my whole life. I was born here. I have seen governs run our state all over the place. I have seen the Jerry Brown show before and it wasn't pretty. So, after watching the Brown vs. Whitman gubernatorial debate I was wondering who Jerry Brown was talking about. I mean, after he left office the first time, there was no debate over "if" he was an awful governor, just how inept he was. Which begs the question: Who was Jerry Brown talking? If he was 1/2 as competent as he portrayed himself to be, he would of beat Wild Bill Clinton as the  Democratic nominee for President. But, he wasn't then, and he isn't now. 

One of Jerry's favorite scapegoats is "the rich." People like Meg Whitman. Brown did what Democrats love to do  and that is blame rich people for being rich and not paying enough taxes, and that businesses should not be allowed to use "loopholes." It never ceases to mystify me that liberals actually believe they can tax businesses and an economy into growth. Business operate on a profit basis. They need to make a profit to grow. With growth comes the possibility for expansion and new jobs. If you tax a business, they leave to find where they can operate and make a profit, which they have been. 

Meg Whitman stressed that she wanted to bring businesses back to California and thus jobs. California is not a business friendly state. Californians need not only a governor who understands that businesses must flourish but Californians need at state legislature that will vote in business friendly bills. Basically, what Whitman was saying is that Californians need jobs now! One point that she made was that the "green" jobs that Brown refers to only represent 3% of the jobs. Whitman talks about 100% of the jobs and Brown dwells on 3%. 

Over one million Californians have lost their jobs (since 2005) under the leadership of the Democratic state legislature. Do we need a another Democrat chasing out businesses? I say, no. 

All Call to Conservative Leaders

Is it funny, odd, or distressing that the Republican Party old-timers are gripping about TEA Party candidates? As a punk I find it kind of amusing that the oldie but moldy GOP "leaders" are having a hard time with these up and coming TEA Party candidates. As a Republican I find it odd that some of the GOP folks have trouble with conservatives. What I find distressing is that the group formally known as conservatives have difficulties with their constituents who are plainly calling for their representative Senators, Representatives and any other politician calling themselves Republican, to act and vote like a conservative!

I have grown up always understanding that the Republican Party was against big government and taxes. I came of voting age and began voting during the late President Ronald Reagan's terms in office. America was great. As a true fiscal conservative he starved excessive government programs to rid the government of fat. Thank you Ronny! But, ever since Reagan we have had President after President, Democrat and Republican, that have simply added more government and increased taxes.

It is time for the GOP to pull its collective head out of the posterior shaped sand castle and LISTEN to what the people who voted them into office are telling them. We are Taxed Enough Already!

Say what, Vern? I mean Mr. President.

It is almost comical what I hear coming out of Presidente Obama's mouth. We always hear Democrats pontificate and give lip service to being champions of the poor. Yet, every policy they have seems to have the opposite effect.

The Associated Press stated, "The number of people in the U.S. who are in poverty is on track for a record increase on President Barack Obama's watch, with the ranks of working-age poor approaching 1960s levels that led to the national War on Poverty."

Now I know el Presidente will blame the Republicans and let off the hook the Democratic Senators and Representatives that were in the majority and who actually voted in the policies that are wreaking havoc on the economy. But, it has been over 2 years now and time to see some actual positive change, not just imagined or selective change. Not to mention time to man up and take the blame.

The best was the POTUS's comment:

"The most important anti-poverty effort is growing the economy and making sure there are enough jobs out there," Obama said Friday at a White House news conference. He stressed his commitment to helping the poor achieve middle-class status and said, "If we can grow the economy faster and create more jobs, then everybody is swept up into that virtuous cycle."

 Did the teleprompter break? He sounds like Vern (from TV commercial fame)with a comment like, "Not only did it rain, but it was powerful wet also." Yes, creating a climate for actual companies to expand and create actual jobs that produce actual products or provide actual services would OF COURSE be nice! And the idea that "everybody is swept up into that virtuous cycle" in an expanding market is way familiar! I believe that late President, Republican and free-market capitalist, Ronald Reagan called it "Trickle Down Economics."

The question is if is that just lip service campaign speech? Probably. But it will fool some of the people, will it fool you?

Pastor Jones vs the POTUS

It looks like Pastor Jones was able to do something our spineless Castro want-to-be president was unwilling to do; find and talk to a Muslim who agrees with the rest of America that a Mosque near Ground Zero may not be a good idea, religious freedom aside.

Would you put a strip club next to an elementary school? No, because it would be entirely inappropriate, basic common sense. If I need to explain it to you, you are probably a leftist. Go to the closest shooting range and offer your services as a target.

Seriously,  does the POTUS and the leadership on the left really believe the majority of Americans, Republican or Democrat think "religious freedom" does not include some good old common sense? It does not look like the Left believes in common sense not do they truly believe in the freedom of speech.

Here's the deal; it is a true exercise of freedom to be a Christian yet, it is not an exercise in freedom to blow up people who think differently than you on something like abortion. In the same way, anyone has the freedom to believe as a Muslim, but, it is not freedom to be a radical Jihadist that believes in destroying anyone who does not follow Muslim beliefs.

Simple. Why is it confusing for Democrats?

Sticks and Stones from the Left

The Dems are resorting to school yard tactics already.

In his introduction of Kaine, Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell (D) ridiculed Republicans, saying the GOP is being run by "fruit loops." "It's a party that's slowly but surely being taken over by wackos," he said. "They're nuts. They're flat-out crazy."

What do people do who don't really have a reasonable or logical argument? They yell louder and call names. What do we see the Democrats doing now? Yelling louder and calling names. I mean really, the party that houses Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and champions abusers of their calling like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, is calling Republicans wackos?

Need I remind us that the President of the United States, a Democrat, was mentored by a truly wacko "pastor" of epic proportions. As a community leader the President cut his teeth using the "Rule for Radicals" approach outlined and taught by Saul Alinsky. These are not people who are just a little to the left of the mainstream of America, these are hard core dissidents who disagree with some of the basic ideals of our founding fathers.

There is a reason Americans don't knowingly vote for people that far to the left. We are not socialists. We believe in a free market system. The press needs to fulfill their true function and report the truth, not what they want, as the propaganda wing of the left, the citizenry to believe to be true. 

On the schoolyard trouble makers love to one student that another said something about their mama and doesn't like them. They do it because they can manipulate those they think are not that smart. the left does not believe we as Americans are all that smart or capable of maintaining our own destinies. the lefts leadership believe we need them to raise our children, manage our money, and choose who should be in power.
