• Flush the idiotic notion that socialized medicine is in anyway better for anyone.

• Flush the president's choices for IT czars. Obviously, incompetent, under qualified, and wildly dysfunctional.

• Flush anyone who still thinks Obamacare is a good idea.

A very good friend of mine has a son and daughter close to the same ages as two of my children. I am "white" and he is Latino and his wife is African American. We both work for the same school district and at this time he is an administrator ( a very good one) and I am a teacher. He makes more money than I do. I don't hold that against him. We once talked about affirmative action and our children. At what point are we the same? Why should my children have to outscore his children by 300 some odd points on the SATs just to get into college? Diversity is not really the issue. I think that what is totally missed in this whole conversation is why, after all these years of affirmative action, Title I, No Child Left Behind, and now the Common Core, why has education failed to demonstrate a serious improvement for minorities? So, the POTUS goes to the border, surrounds himself with a bunch of hangers on and makes a "speech" about how effective the borders are. Well, it was actually an early campaign speech aimed at the enemy, well, his enemy, Republicans. 

I'll tell you what the President is really good at: talking smack. Against conservatives or republicans or capitalists. He is not so good at talking smack against Americas known enemies, say, Al Qaeda. 

In his border speech Obama declared that “The Border Patrol has 20,000 agents, more than twice as many as there were in 2004 . . .They wanted a fence. Well, the fence is now basically complete.” 

Interesting. Very nice for B.O. to take credit for 2005 - 2008, when a certain Republican President  put into affect. By the way, how did the then young Senator vote or stand on that issue? Talking smack has little to do with truth, it has to do with making your opponent look bad while glorifying yourself.

Next, the POTUS went on to say, “Maybe they’ll need a moat,” he said, generating laughter from a crowd of more than 1,000. “Maybe they want alligators in the moat.”

Wow, such thoughtful, intellectual dialog.  Again, talking smack is all about taking verbal pot shots at your opponent. It's about the humiliation of your opponent. 

As the time nears for the President to run for re-election, brace yourself for heavy doses of political smack from the liberal agenda aimed at ridiculing conservatives, blaming "the rich" and inciting racial and class wars.

No Tax Tuesday: The Death of Health Care Extortion, Please!

Here's the deal: if I am "required" by law to purchase insurance, then common sense would demand that insurance prices be fixed, to prevent ever increasing costs. But, since I am talking about the same people believe that taxing the life out of average citizens (under the guise of making "the rich" pay their fair share) is an "investment", I am not too hopeful that common sense will be our leaders guide. So, 26 states say no to the Health Care Extortion law. Now, a judge in Florida declares the whole thing unconstitutional! 

When should, or should the government have the power to force anyone to do anything? I know the Constitution doesn't really mean much to a liberal but, what does govern their thinking process? I do not think the government should force anyone to buy anything. Think about that...what ELSE might the government decide we should have to purchase?

Is it a right of every citizen to have affordable health care? Why? Is health care a self-evident truth? If health care is a right, how much is each person equitably entitled to having? Who decides this? Why should a really wealthy person get better coverage than a less wealthy person? Why should a working class person have to pay for their families insurance and someone who does not work receive insurance coverage for free, and why should the government use the working class persons taxes to pay for the person not working?

In the end, the government elitists are finding a way to force their "progressive" ideals upon all of us. I say no thanks. 

Good-bye 2010, Hello 2011

I'm not sure what to make of this past year,2010. I had some good times, some not so good times, and some just plain ridiculous times.

I guess if you are a Republican or Conservative it turned out to be a not so bad year. Unless, of course, like me you live in California where the likes of Maxine Waters, Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, Gaven Newsom and Jerry Brown still hold the masses under a deep hypnosis of liberalism. 

I am still trying to find a Tea Party in my area. I think the basic ideals of conservative, which the Republican Party so easily strays from need to be advertised and presented in a understandable manner. I am very tired of hearing Democrats and liberals, via their propaganda wing (like la Times) misstating conservative ideals and deceiving the public by withholding the truth about liberals and liberalism. News agencies refuse to tackle the truth. For example,I have yet to see and news article on the fact that in a state run by a Democratic legislature, that since 2005, over 1,200,000 Californians lost their jobs and that companies have taken those jobs to more business friendly states. I have yet to hear a whisper of a call for accountability from the legislature from our press core. That is why so many turn to the internet. May the government keeps its' slimy hands off!!! 

What I did enjoy this year was going on vacation with my family and participating in Cub Scouts with my son. There is nothing like the smile on your child's face when they are enjoying something other than video games.

The American people, except California, made a statement last Tuesday. Led  by the Tea Party's mobilization and articulation of the general populaces' cry for less taxation and less government intrusion was made. The question is whether or not this group of Representatives will be able to lead a massive tax reform and equally important reform of the recent expansion of government.  

The biggest problem they face is the group of hard line, shall I say extremist, liberal who are either too entrenched in their ideology and or blind to the reality of the America the rest of us actually live in. I am an ordinary American citizen. I can not afford to pay more taxes. I can not afford to pay the taxes I am already paying.

I am making a call to the old guard and the newly elected Representatives; we are Taxed Enough Already, actually, too much already. If I have to cut back, people who receive entitlements have to cut back too. Make the tough calls. America needs you to help us, not tax us.

What is an Extreme Conservative to do?

The contempt that the left has for the average American citizen is simply amazing. The belief that the left has that they can determine truth allows them to say anything and call it truth. Calling themselves "Politically Correct" is one example. Who says they are correct? And they have the nerve to proclaim they are moderates. Now, to me this is just astounding. When did Socialism become moderate? When did abortion become moderate? When did  the injustice of allowing  murderers to live while the families of victims are denied any sense of justice become a moderate point of view? When did the complete intolerance for people who believe in the Judeo-Christian world view become a moderate mainstream American stance?

Who says this crap? The mainstream media, also known as the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party. The other culprit is our beloved educational system. Just try being a Conservative in a leftist based society. I do it everyday. Who is teaching our children that Republicans are bigots and hate all people of color. My liberal colleagues are quite dogmatic when it comes to their intolerance of conservatives. A few years ago my daughters fourth grade teacher had the students vote for who they thought should be president. She, without a thought, pontificated about how wonderful a savior Obama would be and how awful George Bush and those Republicans have been. My daughter knew she was a fool and wondered why her teacher should be so brazenly biased.

Is someone, a conservative, an extremist? Isn't that a no brainer. To be conservative means you avoid extremes. Extreme taxation. Extreme government control and centralization. Extreme government regulation and intrusion. But, the left, using the media as their bully pulpit, continually lies and deceives Americans by calling conservatives extremists.

Where was the media when the President took over 1/6 of the economy by enacting a health care bill without the representatives of the American people reading it? Was that a conservative approach? That was extremism.

We are not extremists to call for less taxes and less government regulations.
America, take back the middle!

Brown Vs Whitman Final Debate

I'll admit I am biased toward the right. So, it would be pretty tough for Jerry to convince me to vote for him. He might be able to, if I just took what he said as the complete picture of who he is and didn't consider his past, who he really is. For instance, he says California needs green jobs. Whitman counters with the fact that only 3% of the jobs are green in California and what does Jerry plan to do about the other 97%? Brown just blew by the question and blathered on about Whitman wanting to give "rich" people tax breaks. Again, he didn't say that those same tax breaks would not help Californian's who are not (in his view) "rich." 

I think Whitman has improved as a debater and did very well considering the obviously liberal crowd. I mean, come on, even Wild Bill Clinton recognized Jerry Brown was a self-serving re-invent yourself slouch (takes one to know one sort of thing). Yet the crowd cheered for Brown as he  made emphatic yet harmless points.  That Whitman was able to elicit any kind of positive response from that crowd was actually impressive. I don't think Brown made himself look like any less of an slime-ball in respect to the "whore" comment. 

Browns main objective seems to me to try to convince Californians that now that he is older and married he is no longer a political knucklehead. If your a young voter you won't remember just what a reckless knucklehead he is. He didn't convince me. It doesn't seem like he has to convince your average Democrat. He just has to make sure he casts Whitman in a "rich taking from the poor" light. He will hope that the same people who vote for the likes of Maxine Waters and Barbara Boxer will vote blindly for him also.

The bottom line, over 1,200,000 jobs have been lost in California since 2005 alone under Democratic leadership. Vote the job killing, take your money, turn off your water money mongers out!

No Tax Tuesday: No Props No Taxes

In California we have a Proposition on the ballot that is just amazing. On the street when there is a proposition, someone gets screwed. Same goes for politics. Proposition 21 would like to fund state parks with an additional vehicle registration fee of $18.00. That is not a fee, that is a tax. You can call it a fee, but, it's a tax. If it is a tax, I don't want to pay it. I don't like taxes normally because the money is so poorly applied to the betterment of our country. But, during these tough economic times it is absurd to ask Californians to pay anything extra. 

This brings me to the cash flow of our current tax base. Someone said that socialism was great until you ran out of someone else's money. Am I the only one who thinks we have run out money? You could try to print more, but that's stupid on so many levels, the most obvious that it devalues what is already out there. You could borrow money, but, you just owe more in the long run. 

Now, the facts are that over 1,000,000 jobs have been lost in California since 2005. If each person only paid $1,000 annually in taxes that is a $1,000,000,000 loss per year in tax revenue! We thank Barbara Boxer, Jane Harman and the rest of the Democrats who naively and foolishly believed that they could tax businesses as much as they wanted and businesses would just except the proposition. Jerry Brown still thinks those awful people should "pay their fair share!" Sanctimonious but stupid.

Businesses leave, jobs leave, people leave, tax revenues leave. This kind of reminds me of eating out with  a flake. They forget their wallet, or just leave you with the bill. I don't fault people for leaving California for a job or a better job. I don't fault businesses for leaving California for a more business friendly environment. I definitely fault the liberals for chasing businesses out of California. Now they want me to pay more?

As a citizen of an overwhelming Democratic state and a teacher surrounded by leftist nuts I understand the feeling that my vote may not be to meaningful. But, I still vote. I am not sure that the Tea Party will be able to generate enough votes in the south Bay, where I live to oust any long seated Democrats. But, I will vote.

I hope that anyone who is "undecided" will ask themselves the question, "Has the Democrat I voted into office helped or harmed California?"

I think the Tea Party has done an outstanding job of demanding from conservative  and liberals alike an accounting for their actions. How does your representative account for the loss of jobs suffered here in the South Bay and in California.

Barbara Boxer likes to say that Carly Fiorina outsourced thousands of jobs as CEO of Hewlett Packard, yet under the care and guidance of "Call me Senator, I have earned it" Barbara Boxer over 1,200,000 jobs have left California since 2005. Just last week over 500 jobs were lost in the South Bay that Jane Harman was "assured" were safe. Are they worthy of your vote? 

Most "Independents" are liberal and just like to check Independent because they think it makes them sound more "open-minded." Yet, they still vote Democrat. If you are truly independent take an honest look at the issues and the candidates.

Can California support liberal ideals? The budget says no.

Will businesses stay if taxed even more?   Businesses are saying no already and taking jobs to more business friendly states like Texas.

If you are angry like me, vote.
In California, and in the US all over, we need jobs, and less taxes. Vote accordingly! 

No Tax Tuesday: The Minimum Wage Tax

Yea, yea I know that the minimum wage law is not officially a tax. But, because it is forced upon employers to pay employees a minimum wage, it acts like a tax.

Now, I know some of you bleeding hearts out there will ask,”But don’t you think people should earn enough to provide for themselves and there families?” Who said they didn’t ? Conservatives believe even more strongly that everyone should earn a fair wage for their services or product. That is why we know that raising the minimum wage is a farce and hurts those it purports to help more than it helps.

Why I know that minimum wage increases sound good, in reality, like all other liberal ideas, hurts the most the ones it profess to want to help.

It is pretty simple actually. When the minimum wage increases the price for any goods or services that rely on minimum wage employees rises also. The price rises because the cost for labor is part of a simple formula used to calculate profit. Let’s take McDonald's for instance. McDonald’s has been around for a long time. Their business model and profit formula is set. So, anytime the government raises the minimum wage, the price for a Big Mac rises also. Because McDonald’s needs to at least maintain its profit margin if not increase it.

Now, let me ask a question. Who does it affect more when they go to buy that Big Mac for their children, the minimum wage earner or the “wealthy” wage earner? Isn’t that a no brain-er? Of course the minimum wage earner will feel it more! Yes, s/he makes more, but everything s/he buys costs more. So, it doesn’t help the minimum wage earner, it only frustrates them because while they are making more money the end result is zero gain and the carrot stays the same distance away.

Now I know that liberals will blame those horrible capitalists (who provide jobs) for being greedy. Please, grow up. Just because someone wants to make a profit, which is another way of saying make a living and provide for their families, that doesn’t not make them an evil person.

The minimum wage “tax” hurts, it does not help.

Same Sex Marriage Forced Upon Us All

Before I continue my thoughts on The Americas, One Nation, I must say something about the ruling of Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker in California, mu home state. 

Walker, however, found that the gay marriage ban violates the Constitution's due process and equal protection clauses while failing "to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license." -Lisa Leff The Associated Press

Due process? Equal protection? Do gay and lesbian people not receive due process when they go to court? In what cases are gays and lesbians denied due process and equal protection? The ones where they are asking to be seen as married, I guess. I don't think that if a gay or lesbian person commits a felony they are denied due process or equal protection because they are gay. Well, maybe under President Obamas' new policy for the armed forces where they must tell. But really, where are they denied due process?

For me the real dangers lie in what people who do not hold their viewpoint may be forced to do. If two gay or lesbian people want to call themselves married, whatever. But to force me to recognize them as such is a different story. Why? Because many churches and denominations believe that a marriage is between a man and a women, because God said so. Now, because the court of popular (is it?) opinion says marriage is between any two people, it is so. At least in the courts it will be so. Will churches be sued for not allowing gay and lesbians membership (although some liberal denominations already are OK with it)? What happens if I don't want my child being taught by someone who forces that opinion on them in class? No freedom for me and my children. Yes, I know it happens because I teach with people who do it now.

There you have it. The liberal anything goes agenda/belief system forced upon us. Freedom? I don't think so.
