Al Gore, Hillary Clinton on Loose Cannon Fire

Look out below! It's time for some Loose Cannon Fire from PTVoice!
Add your own and let the battle begin!

Admired? Al Gore admired. Only by leftists. Only by those who vainly think they can save the world by driving a Prius and eating vegan.
Bush was despised by liberals because he whipped their asterisks in two elections and no matter how hard they tried to demonize him he still looked better than Kerry!
Now, after a bit of the thin layer of lies covering Obama is wearing off, Bush is looking better than Obama.

No matter how the trial ends, the death of anyone is a tragedy.
The presumption of innocence, according to the law, goes to the accused. Zimmerman is the accused. The sad reality is that African Americans assume white guilt in every situation. In order to place that guilt on Zimmerman, he was labeled a "white hispanic". Thus, guilty in the eyes of many.
Trayvon is not being tried. If Zimmerman is declared innocent, that does not mean that Martin would be declared guilty. It does mean that Zimmerman would have had a reasonable right to defend himself.

(In response to E.J. Dionne’s “opinion” piece “Hillary Clinton and the quiet gender revolution” - I'm sure conservatives all over the USA can't wait for her "What does it matter!" campaign. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/ej-dionne-hillary-clinton-and-the-gender-revolution/2013/07/14/91822baa-eb4b-11e2-8023-b7f07811d98e_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

It's not about gender. I think Condoleeza RIce would have made a great President.

The issue is ability. Hillary could not tell when her husband was messing around (or worse, ignored it) or couldn't make the call about Benghazi. The only thing she did as SOS was try to cover her bosses backside. The "image" of a female president is all that Hillary represents to Democrats. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/ej-dionne-hillary-clinton-and-the-gender-revolution/2013/07/14/91822baa-eb4b-11e2-8023-b7f07811d98e_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

The death of Trayvon Martin is a tragedy, not matter how you look at it.
The question of justice is being flung about like a  sledgehammer in a china shop. Would justice of been served if Zimmerman was dead due to having his head smashed against the sidewalk? Would justice of been served if Trayvon had been able to grab the gun and shoot the "crazy ass cracker"? Would justice have been served if Zimmerman was just beaten to a bloody pulp? Is justice being served by the few who have decided to "get some justice" by looting or smashing police cars? http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/ruth-marcus-zimmerman-verdict-in-martin-case-shows-justices-flaws/2013/07/14/7f7eae6a-ecc7-11e2-a1f9-ea873b7e0424_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

Eugene,
No one convicted Trayvon Martin of anything. The jury, declared that there was reason to be that George Zimmerman acted in self defense.
His death is a tragedy any way that anyone looks at it.
How would you teach your child to NOT be in a situation like Trayvon found himself in?
Be real Eugene, take race out of it, and just consider yourself not just as Trayvon, but maybe as George Zimmerman. How would you react.? Not as you in hindsight, but as a citizen whose community justifiably feels under attack? http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/eugene-robinson-black-boys-denied-the-right-to-be-young/2013/07/15/d3f603d8-ed69-11e2-9008-61e94a7ea20d_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

Ms. Butler,
What god do you believe in? What god are you talking about? Let me just ask one more question: Has a black person ever been accused of  a crime they were guilty of committing?

Whenever I hear someone like Meyerson use the words "fair" or "reform" I know what's coming is neither fair, especially to those they claim to want to help, nor reforming for the better.
If you raise the minimum wage in ANY way you raise the cost of everything performed or produced using minimum wage labor, thus raising the cost of the product. So, if the person making minimum wage takes his family to McDonalds with the increase in pay, he discovers that the cost for McDonalds has gone up too.
Raising the minimum wage doesn't help minimum wage earners, it just deceives them into thinking something is better. A slight of hand trick to manipulate voters.  http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/harold-meyerson-dc-council-stands-for-fair-wages-and-against-wal-mart/2013/07/16/569eb418-ee48-11e2-9008-61e94a7ea20d_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

If you back someone into a corner they will usually fight there way out. Unfortunately, nearly all conversations about race begin with some statement that backs someone else into a corner.
The current methodology, used by many,  of entering into "discussions" into race issues absolutely begins by place many people in a corner and assume their racism.
A friend of mine once told me, "You have no idea of what is like to be black in America!" I replied, "I NEVER said I did. And, by the way, you have no idea what it is actually like to be white in America."
The sad thing, Eugene, is that you actually seem disappointed that the President didn't capitalize on the Trayvon Martin tragedy to highlight social injustice, thus dividing the country more.

LOOSE CANNON FIRE 7 9 13

Time for a little loose cannon fire! Join the fraye or duck for cover!

I didn't vote for the Obama. I work with a bunch of knuckleheads who did. One of the deals with living in a the US is we often get saddled with the consequences of the majority, no matter how gullible they are. http://www.rightwingnews.com/barack-obama/poll-most-used-words-to-describe-obama-now-include-incompetent-socialist-and-liar/

A very good friend of mine has a son and daughter close to the same ages as two of my children. I am "white" and he is Latino and his wife is African American. We both work for the same school district and at this time he is an administrator ( a very good one) and I am a teacher. He makes more money than I do. I don't hold that against him. We once talked about affirmative action and our children. At what point are we the same? Why should my children have to outscore his children by 300 some odd points on the SATs just to get into college? Diversity is not really the issue. Diversity is here. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/does-a-well-off-black-student-deserve-affirmative-action/2013/06/24/a43b2ad2-d92e-11e2-a9f2-42ee3912ae0e_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

I think that what is totally missed in this whole conversation is why, after all these years of affirmative action, Title I, No Child Left Behind, and now the Common Core, why has education failed to demonstrate a serious improvement for minorities? Perhaps, while meaning well, the target was not hit. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/eugene-robinson-supreme-court-caution-on-affirmative-action/2013/06/24/d304aada-dd09-11e2-bd83-e99e43c336ed_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

Since it is apparently impossible for some to view a child in the womb as a living being with some form of right to life I will ask the following question: If choice is the issue, when does choice begin? As an adult, when do you have the responsibility to act  like an adult?
For those who want to use the "what about rape" argument, take it off the table for a moment. Most people don't have an issue with that.

Again, E.J., you are laughable. You are not going to say that Obama and the Democrats are not trying to cram liberal progressive ideals down upon all of America. You can't be serious if you don't know that everything you are accusing conservatives of liberal do also. Either you're dumb or deceptive. Pick one, but you certainly aren't open minded or fair in your opinions. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/ej-dionne-the-supreme-court-furthers-conservative-goals/2013/06/26/c0d21f92-de98-11e2-963a-72d740e88c12_allComments.html?ctab=al

The truth must be told. Thank you. Islam as a faith, must be open to criticism, just as Christianity is. Is Allah god? Is the Koran reliable? Has Islam been a forerunner to freedom? http://townhall.com/columnists/michellemalkin/2013/06/28/another-white-house-play-date-with-muslim-jihad-n1629534/page/full

The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze me. If you have never, ever made a racist comment in your life, for example calling someone a "cracker", then you may speak.
Is Paula Deen a racist?
A lot of Democrats were racists before they weren't. Check the 50's and 60's for a clue.
If those who call themselves Reverend understand the gospel where equality truly got it's start, then maybe they should offer Paula a way of grace. Or is it just about an agenda?

Obama speaks to the African youth like any good Dictator to those he wishes to oppress: "We (=you) must sacrifice so that we (= me, the ruling class) can reap the benefits!" http://www.ijreview.com/2013/07/62812-obama-planet-will-boil-over-if-young-africans-are-allowed-cars-air-conditioning-big-houses/

It's time for all Americans, regardless of their color, race or gender to wake up to the reality that the policies of the left crush Americans. Just because Obama is black does not mean he has a clue about what it means to be an African American raised in the United States. Neither of his parents were Americans. He has NO clue. He does know how to use the race card though. http://townhall.com/columnists/larryelder/2013/07/04/obama-will-make-blacks-vote-republican-n1633561?utm_source=thdaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=nl

I don't see this as a lesser of two evils. Both NSA and Snowden are evil. If the President were a Republican, the press would be unrelenting in their coverage. But, as propagandists they'll fein concern and then bring  up something like global warming.
That Venezuela is willing to take Snowden makes very sceptical about his motives. http://discussions.latimes.com/20/lanews/la-fg-wn-edward-snowden-russia-asylum-venezuela-20130707/10?logout=true

Robert, you sound alot like your boss (the one who tells you what questions you can ask). A whole lot of nothing.  The only sense Samuelson makes is that when people aren't working, they are not producing.
There always needs to be a balance which for some companies more vacation time may be good, for others it may hurt production and thus profit. No profit = no raises. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/robert-samuelson-europe-surpasses-america-on-vacations/2013/07/07/594769d4-e584-11e2-aef3-339619eab080_allComments.html?ctab=all_&

Loose Cannon Fire 1 15 11 Edition

Billy the Kid (1860 – 1881).Image via Wikipedia
Just a few shots for fun...

At face value it looks like a good start for Governor Brown.
While campaigning for Governor Brown repeatedly stated that California needed to live within its means.
What are California's means?
Let's see if Gov. Brown will honestly start from the reality of California's means (income), not budget wish list.
Let's see how the Democrat led legislature leads. Will it be responsible to right the ship or will they seek first entitlements to get reelected?

Since J Brown is not a capitalist he isn't worried about the effects of his methodology of budget balancing on businesses and individual jobs. If his cuts and shifts do not open up jobs now more businesses and more jobs will leave California. Maybe Jerry's idea is; if businesses leave there will be less mouths to feed?

What frightens me is the number of Californians who were "smart enough" to vote Jerry in may be "smart enough" to vote for his tax increases. Not too smart.

A tax break for businesses = jobs. Even "Billy the Kid" and such childish thinkers should be able to understand that a state, or country can not tax businesses into job creation and prosperity.
The code word "reform" = deform. For example, the California Tax Reform Assn. really means the California Tax Deform Assn.
Just the facts? 1, 200,000+ jobs have left California since 2005 under the Democratic led state legislature.
