No Tax Tuesday: I Just Don't Like Taxes

Death, Dungeons and Taxes PartyImage via Wikipedia
Happy No Tax Tuesday. Yes, I know I must pay some taxes but, I just want some relief.
The truth is I just don't see any positive results from the taxes I already pay.

Who's the bully now?

Bullying on IRFE in March 5, 2007, the first c...Image via Wikipedia
It's not that I don't know that bullying is an issue. I work with disciple at a Middle School! I can't tell you the number of phone calls I have had with concerned parents when it comes to bullying. So, you might think that when I read about President Obama speaking out against bullying I would be quite pleased. Actually, I think the President should be more concerned about global bullies like that thug Gadhafi  in the middle east then his future voting block now on middle school campuses.

I have enough trouble with the micro managing knuckle heads in the local district offices who make decisions based on how things would affect their careers rather than what is right or wrong or even what would ultimately teach a particular student what is right or wrong. Why doI need the federal government reaching its' slimy hands way down to us?

But, hats off to the President for taking such a strong stand on such a crucial global issue. This is a beautiful example of how a President can influence society. It reminds me of the Clinton's anti smoking smoke screen. Taking a stand against smoking and bullying sounds goods and who would disagree except smokers and bullies?  I don't notice any decrease in smokers. I just find them more annoying.

Finally, isn't the current President the biggest bully of them all? He wants to "re-distribute" everyone else's "wealth". He has taken over 1/6 of the economy with Obama-care. Do I have a choice under his plan? Is that really a choice? What are community organizer who hire and direct groups of thugs, I mean "protesters", to go an assail and hassle an opponent into submission but bullies by another name? I ask you, who's the bully?

Flush 'em Friday 3 11 11 Edition

No flush urinal. Photographed in Tampa, Florida.Image via Wikipedia
Happy Friday everyone! It's time to Flush 'em Friday! Let's get this get's the bowling.

I would like to flush:
The LA voters for voting in the likes of Huizar, and Hahn. Stupid is as stupid does.

The mainstream media for being the largest most pompous, biased bunch of nut-cakes available for public viewing outside of the zoo.

Morrissey for ever being in a band and having a band.

The NBA refs for being so inconsistently consistent.

The NFL, owners and players, for fighters over such gigantic dollars publicly in these financial times.

Public unions for being clueless about the times in which they live.

People who turn without using their blinkers.

People who drive really slow because they think they are being safe and cautious when in reality they're just slow and forcing everyone around them to avoid them thus making all traffic near them unsafe.

Politicians, whatever the party, for flushing my money down the political drain.

And of course, Charlie Sheen for being the only one who doesn't realize he's still a drug crazed loon.

OK, SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT OR WHO THEY WANT TO FLUSH!!!

Who's Crazier -- Charlie Sheen or the Left Wing?

Charlie Sheen, at least, has an excuse. He's on a drug he calls "Charlie Sheen."
But what powerful hallucinogen inhaled by the left induces the mental fantasy that makes them believe:

Here Come the Champs!

IMG_4498.jpgImage by bridgetds via Flickr
Almost on cue, without a detectable measure of worry or doubt, the Los Angeles Lakers have flipped the switch. Kobe is Kobe, D-Fish is D-Fish, Gasol is looking fit, Bynum is maturing into "the man" in the middle, Ron Artest is stepped it up all around and enjoying the crowd, and the Killers B's are starting to sting.

I guess the light at the end of the tunnel has started to come into focus. Everybody else in the league has been playing to get to this place in the year but the Lakers have been waiting for this time to come so they can get ready for the season that counts, the playoffs baby!

Pau Pau Pau! The first championship taught Pau he could win one. Last year he learned how to win one. This year he will put it all together and along with Kobe will do what they need to do to bring #17 home to LA.

Kobe burns with the desire to win with a passion that the rest of us mere mortals only imagine we possess. Kobe wants another championship, to be like Mike (or more) with six, to be the Laker to take Lakerland to the summit (and beyond) to tie Boston with 17 championships, not to mention 2 more than Shaq.

All I can say is it is great to be a Laker fan.

No Tax Tuesday: Where have all the tax dollars gone? 3 8 11

A large pot hole on Second Avenue in the East ...Image via Wikipedia
Happy No Tax Tuesday. Today I ask the question: Where have all the tax dollars gone?

In California, Jerry Brown is weaseling his way around setting up his only known means of financial management. He WILL ask Californians to pay more taxes. My question is for what? To pay for a bloated government that can't even complete a budget on time when their lives depend upon it? Gracious, pero no.

Tonight I will make my annual trip to my tax man. He is actually awesome. It just reminds me that I send money to Washington who packages it ( for a cost) and send some of it back to my state which sends some of it back to my city. Less for more.

Gas prices are skyrocketing. Nearly half the cost of a gallon of gas is taxes. Well, straight out of my driveway and all the way to work I will negotiate pot holes the size of some of those tiny little Match Box cars some clowns are driving. (If you own one, nothing personal, just making a goofy point.)  Where is the money for road work going?

What about education? I am one of a few teachers who are conservative politically. Even the most liberal of my colleagues complains about the waste and pet projects. Our school has a "district pool teacher". Do we need one? No.

No Tax Tuesday question of the day: Where have all the tax dollars gone?

Traitor of Patriot

Julian Assange and Bradley ManningImage by besha via Flickr
Bradley Manning was entrusted with information. Bradley Manning was entrusted with Americas security and safety. What did he do? He laid his country bare in front of the world.

Bradley Manning is the military intelligence officer who is accused of leaking loads of classified information to Wikileaks. Bradley's military lawyer, David Coombs, accused Bradley's jailer's of punishing him for making sarcastic remarks. Yes, and what's the problem? Maybe Bradley Manning, military intelligence officer, should think about laying his country and fellow soldiers bare before he imagines himself to be the one who decides what information should be bared before the envious world.

I think this is a question of treason or not. Does Private Manning think he was being a patriot?
