Lebron James, Eric Holder and Doug Shulman on Flush 'em Friday the 5 31 13 Edition

Happy Flush 'em Friday! It's time to send some "worthy" folks down the old bog. This week's nominees are:

• Floppers in the NBA: As big as James is, flopping is just out of the question (see Kobe on not flopping).

• AG Eric Holder: If he is so smart why does he think the  American public would believe he can and should investigate himself?

• Doug Shulman: Former head of the IRS. 157 visits to the White House, that's every 9 days. His reason for the visits = an Easter Egg Roll. Really Doug?

So there you have it, there you are, this weeks class(less) nominees for a trip down the drain. I would do more, but I think they will pretty much clog things up.

Flush 'em Friday: The 4 15 11 Edition

This weeks' list of entries needing to be flushed are:

• People who dress young when they are not. No one is forever 21....
• Politicians...for being more concerned with reelection than doing what is right and passing the burden down
• Green policies...what a sham...going green just means my money in someone else's pocket
• George Stephanopoulos for being such a liberal chearleader in the guise of an open-minded journalist
• ABC news for being such a blatant propaganda machine for the Democrats
• David Stern for fining  Kobe but not KG and everyone else
• People who turn without using their turn signals (I know I flush 'em a lot, but, they bug me)
• Bailouts, stimulus and "investment/taxes"
• People who paint their houses pink

Here Come the Champs!

Almost on cue, without a detectable measure of worry or doubt, the Los Angeles Lakers have flipped the switch. Kobe is Kobe, D-Fish is D-Fish, Gasol is looking fit, Bynum is maturing into "the man" in the middle, Ron Artest is stepped it up all around and enjoying the crowd, and the Killers B's are starting to sting. 

I guess the light at the end of the tunnel has started to come into focus. Everybody else in the league has been playing to get to this place in the year but the Lakers have been waiting for this time to come so they can get ready for the season that counts, the playoffs baby!

Pau Pau Pau! The first championship taught Pau he could win one. Last year he learned how to win one. This year he will put it all together and along with Kobe will do what they need to do to bring #17 home to LA.

Kobe burns with the desire to win with a passion that the rest of us mere mortals only imagine we possess. Kobe wants another championship, to be like Mike (or more) with six, to be the Laker to take Lakerland to the summit (and beyond) to tie Boston with 17 championships, not to mention 2 more than Shaq.

All I can say is it is great to be a Laker fan. 

Why the Lakers Will Win Again

The Lakers are back and the season has begun. I love it and I'm ready to watch them go for #17! As you can tell I am a bit of a Laker fan.Yes, I know the Celtics got the big blow-hard and the Heat put together the big 2 1/2, but it's still the Lakers who sit on the thrown. Here are the reasons why I think the Lakers are going to three-peat.

Because I said so.

Because Ron Artest is crazy and great in crazy games and situations. When the going gets chaotic, he's right at home, game 7 last year is my witness.

The Lakers will three-peat because Pau Gasol now knows not only that he can win and be great but, how to win and be great. 

Kobe Bryant wants to win more than normal humans can imagine.

Derrick Fischer leads with guts, instinct and knows how to counter-balance Kobe's intensity so the rest of the team can flourish.

Kobe wants to be the Laker to take the Lakers to #17 and beyond.

The new kids on the block bring...youth.

Kobe wants to tie MJ.

The long arm of Lamar will fill in the blanks and give the Lakers whatever they need when they don't even know they need it.

Kobe wants to be 2 up on Shack.

Bynum is now grown up and became a man last year by playing hurt and will now have respect and maybe get some calls.

The new vets, Blake and crew will hit shots and make plays and sacrifice to get that ring baby.

Phil Jackson is a Zen master, witch, whatever, he just gets the team to play as a team.

Kobe's team loves to be a team. Notice Kobe hugging his players when they hit the big shots. (Remember the big fat daddy, just walking off the court saying dumb stuff like, "One lucky shot deserves another.") Kobe has become a leader. 

So, if you are not a Laker fan, too bad because the Lakers will take the trophy again!
