Flush 'em Friday: The 7 15 11 Edition

New ToiletImage by timtak via Flickr
Once again it is time for Flush 'em Friday! Time to dispose of those and that which annoy, irritate or sometime just confound you.

This week my nominees are (in no particular order except the first):

  • 54% of my fellow Californians who live in the 36th Congressional District.
  • Skinny jeans because those of us who are not skinny should not be wearing them and who needs to see that much of anyone?
  • Jerry Brown and the California Dems for forcing teachers to teach and children not their own to be taught the "history" of gays. Like that won't be revisionist liberal crap.
  • Revisionist liberal crap known as "social science"  because it is just liberal ideology being forced upon us all.
  • Eugene Robinson for being such a liberal propaganda hypocrite by accusing the Republicans of doing what the Democrats always do, putting ideology over country.
  • People who let their dogs crap anywhere and don't clean it up.
  • Leisure suits.
  • Plastic bag laws.
  • Green light bulbs.
  • Carmegeddon
  • The McCourts, for spending more time in court than running the team...please sell.
That's it for this week, unless you would like to add a few...

No Tax Tuesday or Doofenshmirtz on Taxes 6 21 11 Edition

California State Senate chamberImage via Wikipedia
How many times do people have to say it before the politicians hear it. NO MORE TAXES!!!

Yet, what is Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown really trying to do? Continue high taxes and ask for more. What does the President really want to do? Raise more taxes, redistribute your wealth. What does Congress want to do? Raise your taxes.

Career politicians don't want to help people, they just want to manipulate them and exercise control. It is not about helping people, it is about controlling them. That is why politicians like Brown, Lieu and Janice Hahn are more concerned with keeping programs that can buy votes than actually helping the economy and providing true lasting jobs and stability. For some common sense ideas see Craig Huey @ www.CraigHuey.com

If the California legislature really wanted to balance the budget and if Jerry Brown was truly trying to cut spending he would consider the expenses that suck the life out of state. Jerry vetoed the Democratic the budget authored by Democrats and rammed through by Democrats, which under the wise old law would not have been passed because it could not muster a 2/3 majority. Yet, Jerry Brown blames Republicans for the budgets obvious failings. Hello McFly! That's politics, blame your opponents for your failings. Who voted in these financially and truth challenged Doofenshmirtz?

California Dems Pass Gas, I Mean Budget

Matera beheaderImage by Mike_fj40 via Flickr
The LA Times read "California Democrats pass budget with taxes, cuts and tricks."  http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-state-budget-20110616,0,504864,full.story

OK, if even la Times calls out the Democrats it has to be REALLY bad. It is a budget that calls on Governor Brown to break two campaign promises and uses very creative math. The Times put it like this,
But their blueprint puts Brown in a political pickle. It asks him to break two pledges central to his campaign for governor: no new taxes without voter approval and no more smoke-and-mirrors budgeting.
So, the Democrats in office show their true colors. They want to shove taxes down our throats and they have no qualms about using deceptive measures to make themselves look as if they have actually done something of value. Then, the Democrats, like Gardena Representative Warren Furutani has the nerve to get all "offended" by Republicans calling him out. Hey Warren, sit your stretchy pants suit down. Listen Fatani, if Gardena is the showcase of your leadership, God help us all.

The best part of their "plan" is to cut spending on higher education, thus raising tuition and making education harder for the average working family to afford and reducing funds to the court system which would make justice even harder to come by. Ah, the creative brilliance of Democrats.

And to think that Californians made it easier for the Democrats to punish us all by voting for a less than 2/3 majority vote on budgets like this. Way to leave us all defenseless! Now, the minority has NO voice and can in not protect us all. For all of you who voted for the bill and for all these knuckleheads like Fatani. Thanks for nothing.
