Flush 'em Friday OWS and Joe Biden the 10 21 11 Edition

Happy Flush 'em Friday to anyone and everyone! Another week and another list of Flushies worthy of a good old whurly - twurly.

And the Nominees are:

  • Occupy Wall Street - why protest the banks and not the Congress that forced the banks to make the stupid loans in the first place?
  • Uninsured motorist insurance paid for by insured motorists (me).
  • Joe Biden for linking public safety to his liberal agenda and then insinuating that not voting for liberal crap will bring about lawlessness. Really, Joe?
  • Obama's "Jobs" package - just another payout. What "new" and real jobs would it create or even allow?
  • Lindsay Lohan - for being such an idiot and having the money but not the sense to use it.
  • LAUSD for getting rid of one reading program and adding another. Changing programs only insures 4-7 years of clueless attempts at making the new program work.
  • LAUSD for not getting rid of the clueless "coaches" who were constantly meddling with teachers instruction. What a waste of money. About $ 90,000 a coach X 1,000 schools = $90,000,000 per year. Budget crisis solved.
  • JH and JJ for using threats as their main method of leading and managing.
  • The NBA owners and players for not being able to get themselves together while fighting over millions of dollars the average person will never see.
That all for me, who would you like to flush?

Flush 'em Friday the 10 14 11 Edition

Happy Flush 'em Friday everyone! It's time Flush whoever and whatever annoys, bothers or confounds you.

Today my list is as follows...

  • David Stern, the NBA owners, the NBA players...get on with it!
  • Anyone who thinks ILLEGAL aliens should receive benefits of any kind from the USA.
  • The "DREAM ACT" for being a nightmare for those of us who must pay for it.
  • Governor Jerry Brown for signing in the DREAM ACT.
  • The US Department of Education's Civil Rights Office...for taking 19 months to tell us that English-Language learners and African Americans are struggling and saying that they are not receiving the same education as whites. 19 months? How long will it take them to "find" that the Pacific Ocean touches California?
  • The US Department of Education...just for existing...what a waste of money.
  • The US Department of Education for having a Civil Rights Office...again, what a waste of money.
  • People who take up two parking spaces.
  • 50% off the second item "sales"
  • Those who like to dole out criticism but can't stand to receive any.
  • People who micro manage...
  • The guy in line to order who doesn't think about what he wants until he gets to the counter.
That's all folks. Anyone like to add to the list?

No Tax Tuesday the 10 11 10 Edition

A co-worker of mine asked me the other day what I thought about those people protesting with "Occupy Wall Street". She also asked me if I thought "rich" people should pay their fare share of taxes.

Well, she probably thinks she is opened minded, but, just the questions pretty much tell you what she thinks.

What are the Occupy Wall Street protesters (paid or not) protesting? According to my coworkers they are protesting people making profits...at someone else's expense(?). I just wonder why liberals believe they should tell another person how much money to make or they (liberals) think they should determine how much another person deserves to earn. One answer my friend has no idea about is why the banks made bad loans to people in the first place. Weren't banks forced to loan to consumers by the government? The government tries to control the banks via regulations, bailouts and taxation manipulation, the plan fails and then the politicians that forced the banks to operate like morons blames the banks and accuses them of being greedy.

As to the notion that the "rich" should pay their "fare share" I am astounded at the ignorance of the left. First of all, no conservative believes that the rich should not pay their fair share. I have never heard any one (except maybe liberals) say that anyone should not pay taxes. What no Democrat, liberal or leftist has ever been able to tell me is how they can tax a company into growth and hiring more people. How can you take money away and expect that company to then hire more people? Hello...hello...is there anyone that can hire more people with less money? The only way is via government handouts. That's what this whole green jobs malarkey is all about. That is not a business, that is welfare.

What about No Tax Tuesday? Why should our tax dollars be spent on bailout welfare jobs?
By-the-way protesters, why not occupy the White House and ask where all the jobs are?

POTUS Blame Game

Amazing! I heard President Obama is campaigning with rhetoric like, “If Republicans take back the White House their policies would cripple America!” Wow. That is like a clown telling a mime to get serious. I guess the beauty of being a community organizer is all you really have to do is demonize your opponent, whether what you're saying has any relationship to reality or not. The whole manner in which candidate Obama operates reminds me of the school yard. So often a fight starts when child A tells child B that child C said,”B's a _______!” Then it's on. B and C go at it while A looks on and enjoys the show. All the while B and C have no clue that they have just been manipulated by their so called friend. Unfortunately, this is a favorite tactic of all politicians would at the heart of their beliefs (which they will never have the integrity to admit) is that most of their would be voters are not smart enough to be confronted with the real issues so, manipulation in the form of “Those people don't like you! Those people are taking your jobs! Those people...”

Besides all that, what is crippling America right now? Isn't it time for President Obama to take some ownership of the problems our country is facing? Or is he just going to divide the country by blaming the opposition? We he honestly answer the question of whether or not his Health Care plan has been good for America or just another government take over of individual freedoms?

What is the plan President Obama? All I hear is blame.

Pit_toiletsImage via Wikipedia
Hello everybody and happy Flush 'em Friday!!!
Today I would like to start off the list with one of the biggest bigots, racist and plain goof-ball American politics has ever seen...

  • Maxine Waters...for wanting to tax banks (does this include the one her husband has an interest in?) out of existence. The gangster politician speaks.
  • The Feds, DOJ, for raiding Gibson guitars and suggesting that they outsource labor to Madagascar.
  • Progressives: because what is progressive (positive in any way) about the progressive agenda?
  • Frank McCourt...take the money and leave.
  • People who turn right from the far left lane (3 lane roads) with about 100 feet to go, while smoking and texting.
  • Again, purple cars.
  • Soccer players who flop and lay on the ground for extended periods of time.
  • Housing prices, they still need to drop.
  • Individual bags a chips, because the amount of chips keeps getting smaller.
  • Goecaches that aren't maintained.
That is my list for this week.
What's on yours?

No Tax Tuesday and Chocolate the 8 30 11 Edition

A piece of chocolate candy.Image via Wikipedia
Yesterday I went by Ralphs to pick up few items to go with the pizza I was going to barbecue. In the line at the checkout I noticed some Twix and the sign said "Buy 2 get 1 free". Good deal. You know that candy, even chocolate, is taxed because it is not really food. I like chocolate. But, my wife and daughter sometime crave chocolate and they have to have it.  Chocolate is at times, a need, so I believe it should not be taxed.

Now, here is my beef with taxing chocolate as if it was not a necessity. If your a married man you know that sometimes your wife needs chocolate. Maybe like me it happens after you eat dinner. You get comfortable on the couch, turn on the TV, and your wife says, "I could really use some chocolate." You try to ignore her. "Honey, don't you want some chocolate?" You might reply, "No, I'm good, thanks." A few moments quickly pass. "Honey, I really want some chocolate." Fellas, you know how this goes. Luckily for me there is a 7-11 and a Rite-Aid within a block from where we live.

Now, let me ask you this (I know that sounds Southern). At that moment isn't chocolate a need? If I want to enjoy the rest of my evening in peace you are darn right I need to go get it for my wife! Now, as a life bonus my wonderful daughter is getting to be the age where she "wants" chocolate too. So now at times I have my wife and my daughter in need of chocolate. "Daddy, can you go get some chocolate ice cream?" I need to a have a stash someplace...

My point is that for me to have two happy women in my home, I need some chocolate, so therefore chocolate is a necessity. Since it is a necessity it should not be taxed. This No Tax Tuesday is a call for no taxes on chocolate because sometimes you just got to have some chocolate.
